Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 20, 2026

This policy describes the personal information we collect through the allodocteur.ca website (the "site") and how we use it. Data collected as part of a medical consultation (clinical records, billing, patient contact details) is governed separately by our clinical data management framework and is not covered here.

This policy aligns with Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Law 25) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Information collected by the site

The site collects a deliberately minimal set of data. We never collect a visitor's full name, email address, phone number, or street address for analytics purposes.

  • Consent preferences — your cookie choices, stored for 1 year in the allo_consent cookie.
  • Marketing attribution (UTM)utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, gclid, fbclid and the referring site's domain. Stored for 30 days in the allo_attrib cookie. Used to measure the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns.
  • Booking-tool interactions — steps taken, service selected, and the first 3 characters of your postal code (Forward Sortation Area, e.g. "H2X"). We never collect the full address for analytics.
  • Technical audience-measurement data — via Google Analytics 4: pseudonymous identifier, pages visited, device type, country. Only if you have accepted analytics cookies.

Cookies

We use three cookie categories:

  • Essential — required for the site to work (session, security, language preference, remembering your consent). Always on.
  • Analytics — Google Analytics 4. Off by default. Only activated if you click "Accept all" or enable this category under "Customize".
  • Marketing — advertising cookies from Google and partner ad platforms. Off by default.

You can change your choice at any time by clearing the allo_consent cookie in your browser; the banner will appear again on your next visit.

We also honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. If your browser sends this signal, we automatically record a refusal of non-essential cookies without showing you the banner.

Sharing with third parties

We do not sell your information. The following third parties receive data as part of the site's operation:

  • Google Analytics (GA4) — United States / European Union. Receives a pseudonymous client ID and the events described above. Only if you have consented to analytics. Google applies its own contractual safeguards (Standard Contractual Clauses) for transfers outside Canada.
  • Google Ads — United States. Receives only the ad click ID if you have consented to marketing.
  • Mapbox — United States. Receives your address-autocomplete queries when you use the booking tool. Required for the service to function.

Retention

  • allo_consent cookie: 1 year.
  • allo_attrib cookie: 30 days.
  • GA4 data: 14 months (property default).
  • Medical and administrative appointment records: governed by our clinical data management framework, per Collège des médecins du Québec requirements.

Your rights

Under Quebec Law 25 and the GDPR, you have the following rights:

  • Right of access — obtain a copy of the information we hold about you.
  • Right to rectification — correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Right to withdraw consent — withdraw at any time your consent for non-essential cookie categories.
  • Right to de-indexing and portability — where provided by law.
  • Right to file a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec.

To exercise these rights, contact us at contact@allodocteur.ca. We respond within 30 days.

Security

Clinical and administrative data is hosted in Canada, encrypted at rest and in transit. Access is restricted to authorized members of our team via strong authentication. Data collected by the site is stored separately from medical records.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices or in applicable regulation. The last-updated date appears at the top of this page. For material changes, we will display a notice on the site.
